Team Molly is an education effort, which bears the name of a brave young woman and all-star athlete, Molly Eisenberg of Lexington, Massachusetts. In 2009, at just 19 years old, Molly lost her battle with ovarian cancer.

Working with the MIAA and Reebok, the Ovarian Cancer Awareness Coalition created Team Molly. Working with high schools in Massachusetts, Team Molly helped spread the word about ovarian cancer awareness by wearing teal sweat bands, teal shoelaces and Team Molly tee-shirts at school athletic events and games.

Inspired by Molly Eisenberg’s heroic fight against ovarian cancer, The Ovarian Cancer Awareness Coalition, the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and Reebok have been encouraged to create a campaign focused on ovarian cancer awareness and education, called Team Molly.

Team Molly symbolizes sportsmanship and teamwork, both on and off the field.

Team Molly encourages high school students to educate their peers, friends and family members on staying healthy, reminding them to take care of themselves through exercise, doctors visits, a healthy lifestyle and awareness.
All high school athletic teams in Massachusetts are invited to join Team Molly in the fight against ovarian cancer. Together, in our effort to educate and raise awareness about ovarian cancer, we are all one team.
